Andrew Drummond was convicted October 27 2014 by the Thailand Supreme Court in his final Appeal for publishing a false article accusing two Pattaya businessmen James Lumsden and Gordon May of murder in 2004. The story proved to be totally false and meant to " ruin the lives" of Drummond's victims. Drummond was sentenced to prison, fined and ordered to publish his conviction in the Bangkok Post. Instead, he fled Thailand while out of jail on bail. Convicted journalist Drummond escapes.
In February 2014 Drummond was also criminally convicted of falsely accusing two more Pattaya businessmen of crimes. Drew Noyes and David Hanks won a conviction against Drummond for Computer Crimes and defamation after he falsely accused them of crimes. Drummond was sentenced to prison and fined. Drummond was caught posting Trash for Cash and admitted he was paid to defame people by competitors. While out on bail he escaped.
On January 29, 2015 a second Thailand Supreme Court Appeal decision was to be read in open court. However the criminal defendant, Andrew Michael Drummond, failed to appear. The court immediately issued a fugitive arrest warrant for Andrew Drummond.
A second warrant for the arrest of Andrew Drummond was also issued by yet another judge in Pattaya Provincial Court for Andrew Drummond failing to appear at a trial which had been accepted by the court and Drummond had paid 100,000 baht bail. Drummond fled to England and the bail was immediately canceled and the arrest warrant issued.
